Fuloos on A Cat Show Day
On the day of the show Fuloos must be in time for vetting -in. This is around 8am.
She is examined by the Vet prior to entry into the Show Hall.
I will get an envelope with Fuloos's pen number on it and therefore know which Pen to put Fuloos in.
I then prepare Fuloos's pen with her white blanket, water dish and white litter tray before I place Fuloos in her pen. No other items are allowed in the pen until after the judging is over.
It is the show rule that her blanket, litter tray and water dish must be white.
I can stay in the show hall until judging commences, usually around 10am.All of us must leave the show hall at this time and we are not allowed back into the hall until all the Open Judging is complete.
I should mention here that Fuloos has the beautiful name of " Coomakista Siodah" for all her Cat Shows.
Once judging is over I can return to the Show Hall and check Fuloos. I then give her TLC, Her Food and put her favourite toy in her cage. There may be some rosettes pinned on her cage, but to find out how she got on I can check the Results Board for all her results. Her results are listed by class number as well as pen number.
The visitors will be admitted to the show hall after the judging is over to view all the cats at the show. Therefore one must leave your cat in his/her pen until the advertised closing time of the show.I always like this time at the shows as I meet other cat lovers and cat breeders ,and we can have a great chat. I can talk about my Fuloos and share about her life with all her admirers. I get lots of beautiful comments about her great beauty and this makes me very happy indeed.
Finally once The Best In Show Cat has been chosen at the end of the show time, I can take Fuloos home, along with all her great wins and together we celebrate her success.
As Fuloos is now a Premier Cat since April 2011, I now enter her into the Grand Premier Class at the shows. She will need three Grand Premier Certificates from three different judges before she can become a "Grand Premier". She has now got two Grand Premier Certs at present, just one more needed before she can gain this title.
At the Midland Cat Show , Limerick, on 19 February 2012 Fuloos gained her title " Grand Premier Coomakista Siodah ". This was a very happy day indeed for both Fuloos and I.
The 22nd GCCFI Supreme Cat Show April 2012 Fuloos was rewarded her first Tara. Both Fuloos and I were so happy about this great win at this Supreme Show.
